Tips

Selecting a whole album at once is quicker than one photo at a time - tap and hold, then drag.
If your phone locks mid-upload the transfer pauses; unlock it and it carries on.
Videos are the big ones. A minute of 4K is roughly 350 MB, so a long clip still fits comfortably.

Will my photos lose quality?

No. You get the original file, byte for byte, at full resolution with its EXIF data intact. Chat apps re-compress photos on the way through; this does not.

How many photos can I send at once?

Up to 100 files and 3 GB in a single go. For a bigger batch, just run a second transfer.

Do both devices need the same Wi-Fi?

No. The files go over the internet, so the phone can be on mobile data and the computer on broadband.
